Kitchen Confidential, by Anthony Bourdain. He pulls no punches when describing chef life in the 70's and 80's, including his own issues with drugs and alcohol. He freely admits his sins, and I have to respect him for it.

Finally finished: Grande Sertão: Veredas (1956) by J.G. Rosa (in Italian translation)
It's a crying shame that this poetic/epic masterpiece exists only in a simplified and butchered Eng translation. Hopefully, a new translation will be released soon.

On to: Prime jeunesse by P. Loti (sequel to the wonderful Le roman d'un enfant which I read ages ago)

· The Wonder Engine (Clockwork Boys #2) by T. Kingfisher — Adored the first and I'm adoring the second.
