We all need to lean hard on those who can put pressure on Russia. Thoughts and prayers really don't do anything other than make the person who says it feel good. Stand strong there are more against what is going on than are for it.

My family's thoughts are with you and the Ukrainian people; I hate war as it only hurts civilians and the soldiers of the aggressors and the defenders - nobody benefits but the rich & powerful.

That being said, defending one's homeland is a noble thing and to defend another's doubly so. I am glad the world is (mostly) coming together, but frustrated that the coming together is just short of actually intervening. I understand why Nato is so reluctant (having graduated high school not long after the USSR collapsed), but that doesn't make it less frustrating.

Ukraine is showing us Putin's Russia is a paper tiger that is "good" at killing the defenseless, but not so good against people directly opposing them.

You're an inspiration. Thank you for sharing your perspective.

Sorry for the invasion of your country. I feel shamed that the government of my country, China, does not denounce Putin and his government for that crime. I cannot push my representatives to change that because we don’t have one here in China. What I can do is posting against the disinformation and misinformation about this war which is frustratingly overwhelming in the Chinese social media discourse.

My heart breaks each time I see TV reports on what is happening. We have donated medical supplies and 200€ to the Croix Rouge. I invite everyone to donate to the Red Cross, since they know what needs to be sent to help the Ukranian civilians.
