Hi. I ´ve got quite a number installed. Depends on what you´re looking for.
The Wordbook(or Lexigoo) is great; very fast search engine, very nice intreface, Wordnet database-one of the largest in AmE, handy resident look-up , plus a lot of extras. However, I rather admire MS Dict Viewer application , which makes it possible to run about 10 dictionaries,e.g. Oxford and Cambridge dics, Dictionaries of Idioms and Phrases, etc. They are simply great dics, with emphasis on easy-to-understand definitions and sentence examples.Plus you´re actually using one shell app to switch between a number of dics.
Having said that , my all time favourite is the Longman Dictionary of Contemporary English which is unbeatable in the number of up-to-date everyday English example sentences and clear, straightforward definitions. Real boon to someone who uses English as a second language. It runs under Mobipocket Reader, which makes reading a real pleasure - its look-up functionality is by far the best. It can be used as standalone dic, but you have to have Mobipocket Reader installed. You won´t unfortunately find it on this forum, though.
On a final note, it really boils down to whether you´re a native user of English and looking for tha largest possible vocab database (Wordbook, Lexigoo, Slovoed) , lovely interface and lots of extras, or non-native English user like myself, looking for lots of everyday English examples and
clear definitions. In fact, currently I´m using all of the above-mentioned plus a couple of bi-lingual dics. My last advice: Try first and then decide.
Cheers!

My pleasure. Check it up and report back if it´s working for you. Also, you don´t only have to use it with Mobyreader. I also use it as a stand-alone dic-you need to create a shortcut for the particular LDCE file on your SD card. Cheers
