Brand new dopod d810, wifi connection to home network, directory on main computer shared to the network, mapped network drive with Resco Explorer, and GSFinder, open mp3 file and get this...

"The parameter is incorrect"? What parameter? I can open mp3 files on the storage card no problems. Any ideas anyone? Is this a problem with the mapped drive, a problem with WMP?

What a crappy error message. How vague can you get Microsoft?

If you are streaming files, you need to make sure they are 'enclosed in quotation marks'. (use Open With in Resco Explorer, choose WMP and make sure Enclosed with quotations or whatever it is called is ticked)

The main reason WMP causes the error is because it doesn't read network paths properly. You can try Coreplayer or one of several other players instead if it is easier
