Discuss Pocket PC software here.

Hi guys,

I have recently purchased an HTC Touch and for some reason, it refuses to play any video I upload to it.

I have tried several different videos including some I converted myself but I keep getting the message: “Impossible de lire le fichier” ( Impossible to read the file )

Also, I transfer the vids using ‘Active Sync’ by exploring the storage card, where I created a folder named “Videos”, and then dragging the file there from the PC ...

... the files seem to take a long time to transfer and it keeps restarting from the beginning again and again but in the end it does get there.

So I guess my question is: Is there a software similar to Gom player for PPC compatible with the Touch that would allow the files to be read, also, am I doing this all wrong ??

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks in advance.

Hi zagorka,

And many thanks for your reply.

The card I use is a SanDisk 4GB MicroSDHC and as far as I am aware is the only 4GB card available ATM.

I tried to transfer a video to the original card provided with the phone with the same result. :(

Any help or suggestion will be much appreciated.

Many thanks.

the video codec is probably just not supported by the native media player. Try tcpmp

Try TCPMP or its successor Coreplayer
