Wardriving software, any advice?

Hi guys!
I use Hitchhiker for finding access points when I'm in the open.
Does anybody have a better suggestion of what software to use?
I would like the software to try to make a connection to the Internet and treat redirection as failed, just like Hichhiker does.

i've not tested it myself but some clues show that PeekPocket is better than Hitchhicker. it's free but worth to try.
