I believe my imate JAMIn is equivalent to an HTC Prophet (?). Is it possible to upgrade the OS from WM5 to WM6? Can anyone help with this please?

ok, whether there is or isn't, (personal recommendation, the ultimate decision is yours) BUT, if there is NOT an official release of WM6 for you phone, i really recommend you not upgrading (i don't think there are cooked roms for it, but if you do happen to find any..) if you do find cooked roms, i really recomment you not upgrading, only of HTC actually comes out w/ an Official release of it (which i doubt they will do because they still haven't for my cingular 8125 [htc wizard]) the original rom that you have will be so much more stable than the cooked ones...i know it's that i gotta have wm6! i had it to lol, but when i was on the cooked WM6 for about 4 months and went back to wm5, phew, 5 runs so much better! now IF (doubt it) HTC does come out with and upgrade, don't hesitate to upgrade! Hope this helps. ~kareem

Thanks Kareem for the warning. It's tempting to play with WM6, but I also need a stable, working PDA phone. I'll stick with the existing ROM.

please update the information in your profile earthling to include your ppc and OS. This will help us help you in the future.
There are cooked roms for your device, so you can upgrade to wm6. But you run the risk of bricking your phone if you do not know what you are doing. If you really want to try it and have no experience, there are tons of users here with your phone that will be willing to help you. :)

I suggest you keep your wm5, its stable and ALL the features work as they should.
