Discuss Pocket PC software here.

anyone know of a program that actually works that will crack WEP / WPA from a pocket pc?
i've been researching some that were posted on other forums but can't seem to find the actual programs

one of them is called "Retina wifi scanner" or something similar
and I've heard that Wifi CommView will do the job, but only via a compact flash wifi card, not an internal one

i've also read posts of people installing linux on their devices and using specially compiled+tweaked wep/wpa cracking tools (aircrack, etc) with good results most people said it took them under 10 minutes

there are some older threads on this forum where people are asking for a similar app for windows mobile with no responses
just wondering if anything has come up for this recently, as i am not going to install linux on my pda phone any time soon

thanks in advance

WEP can be cracked in about 10 minutes but i doubt they have cracked WPA in ten minutes. Most of the programs on pc and PPC (and they isnt many for ppc) need airport cards to work properly. As far as i know ,i never use them as i have free wireless minutes i use from BT.

it depends on the traffic. WEP is very easy to hack, you just have to "listen" to the traffic and make the correct WEP-key out of that.

also google for e.g. airodump and aircrack and read
