i can play music through my bluetooth headset / htc 8525 when i hit the talk button during a song or something and it will route it to the bluetooth but after the music plays, it only lasts for 5 seconds and plays again on the phones speaker.. how do i fix a problem like this ?

What software do you use to play music?
Maybe you can try: Conduits Pocket Player or PocketMind Inc. PocketMusic.
I use Pocket Player (with BT, A2DP, WOW HD). When I receive a call I can choose to answer it on my phone or on my headset (Sony DR-BT50). In both cases music will continue playing on my headset after a call. No BlueMusic or such is installed.
