apparently there are issues with vista 64 and mobile phones not being detected by windows mobile device centre. can someone please help me synch with something else. because without this feature i cant install things on nxt synch. i cant use my phone as a webcam anymore etc. please help me ive been trying to sort this out for months.

Try unchecking start>settings>connections>usb to pc.

wmdc still doesnt connect if i do that.
By the way i am using bluesoleil, so does it have to be the windows bluetooth software for wmdc to connect? because it still is showing me as not connected with bluetooth only and not usb connections.
is there alternative software to wmdc that might work better?

i thought it would be a long shot that someone would have a solution but i am surprised that there isnt anyone else with the same problem

My laptop system type is vista 32-bit and it has a built-in cam. Guess that's much of a help,
How many usb ports do you have ? Have you tried to switch to one of them ?
Btw, when you update WMDC, did you choose the one which is compatible with your system type ? Not sure about this, but it might be the issue.
