Image Your opinion about Weather forecasting programs.

We've made a list of released similar programs (HERE), but would like to have your opinion.

Every developer claims to make the best application, but nothing compares to the experience of the every day users of the programs.

What is your favourite weather forecasting program? Which one do you use? Any particular one, one you like most? And can you tell us why? And are the forecast correct? Any advice you can share with us?

Any comments are very appreciated.

Thank you for posting.

Well, I have to say that this is the lists in order of my favorites:
1. WeatherPanel
- This is by far the most accurate for me, and the interface is nothing but spectacular.
- This is (technically) freeware, and very efficient.
2. Spb Weather programs
- These integrate in a number of ways, whether it is on your today screen, calendar PIM, or icons and Now Screens, it is always available. Albeit the default source is not that reliable, there are quite a lot of user-submitted templates.
3. HTC TouchFlo3D
- This is a very simple and easy to use weather plugin, that has excellent graphics, that re-invented the wheel to capture audiences.
- However, beyond breathtaking graphics that only work on select devices; and beyond making a huge impression on the market, to the point that everyone is trying to make their programs look more attractive, weather is weather, whether it is pretty icons or black and white. :P

Right now I'm not using anything, but I used to use Pocketweather. It has a lot of info and you can choose many different ways to display it.

I started with htc touchflow 3d on my touch HD. It is visually very satisfying, but doesn't get into the detail I want.

I then used spb weather for a few months. As noted above the reliability is not great. It is good for a day or two ahead only.

For the last few days I've been using the lastest version of Elecont Weather. I am very happy with the information it presents. The only thing I would like to see added is POP (probability of percipitation). It looks great on my today screen using two lines and removing the background colour. The amount of cities available is huge and you can change the name to suite you if you live in a unreported area. Maybe not the prettiest, but the most useful, and that makes it a winner for me.

IMHO the best, most complete, most accurate and most details is only one:
SBSH PocketWeather

Lots of templates, most weather parameters (it simply eliminates any other concurent!).
Very often updated, nothing comes close to it.

Want the best, there's only one name: SBSH PocketWeather.

Before I was a fan of Spb Weather becuase it was the only one which accepted templates for more weather sources.

No that SBSH PocketWeather have similar functionality and by far more info, details, tweaks, etc...

I simply eliminated any other competitor.
Nothing comes close to SBSH PocketWeather, it's far away before any other competitor.
Period.

I can agree on it being the most complete, but it's really slow to load every page (at least using the nice WVGA theme I downloaded) and it's quite far from being user friendly.
