Hi mates,

I'm looking for a software which alows me to find an existing contact (SIM or WM Outlook) by typing in the phone number.

The reason is often i miss incomming phone calls at the office phone (fixed network). I can see the phone number in the missed calls list. Now i want to know who tried to call me, before i call him back. I need to know if it will be a private call (contact stored in the mobile phone) or a business partner (not stored in my mobile phone). Any ideas?

I don.t know what phone you,ve got..... but on my htc3300 if I dial a number it shows the contacts that match the numbers entered...the more numbers I dial, it narrows down the selection till I am left with the correct one (or nothing if it,s not there). It doesn,t actually dial the number till I hit enter

I tried that already but didn't typed in in international format at that time. I have stored the numbers in international format (e.g. +4930xxxxxxx for Berlin) and tried manual "dialing" 030xxxxxxx, so it didn't work.

Now i tried manual "dialing" +4930xxxxxxx and it works as you described. Many thanks!
