I installed skyscape and found that it stall smart update on my Desktop PC.....and there's no way to remove it from Add/remove program in controll panel!!! No any option to uninstall...
Seem like only one way is ....delete it 's "Common file folder "in program file....

Anyone has better to uninstall it? Cause I 'm not sure what error would happen if I just delete it's folder directly...

there are two parts for this one
A. For the PC
B. for pocketpc

A. For PC
1. Uninstall the skyscape application that you install by your favorite uninstaller ( I use Final Uninstaller) or if you have Tuneup utilities installed just go to recently installed
2. after that go to drive C>>> right click>> search>>> skyscape : delete it

B. For ppc
1. go to windows >>> search for SSE( i forgot... but it has a icon which is like a pda) delete that

after doing this steps connect your PDAphone to your PC... a message will pop -up .... something like something did not start right on start up... will ask you to delete ... delete by clicking ok

skyscape is really tedious to delete:( but is a Good software to have

is it ssdeviceid file in the windows folder of the pda?
I think this update is pretty good cause it adds new information to the ppc installed program. Does it have any side affects (sends ip information or other)?
