Hello all,

I'm facing problems with my PPC, and seriously think that a clean restart should be a good way of getting rid of most of my problems.
I'd like to know if there is a way (backup software or anything else) to backup any application (all files AND app settings), "independently" - I mean, that each backed up application should be re-installable directly to my device, with its complete settings and files (whatever directory they should be placed in), instead of having to install (and possibly crack) the app, then having to re-set all the parameters.

So, do you know a way of backing up, under WM6.1, just the application(s) you want (one by one), instead of doing a full backup / full restore of the entire system.

I hope you'll understand what I mean. It's not easy for me to express myself and my needs, especially for English is not my native language. But, since there are clever people here, I think you'll get it ;)

Thanks by advance ! It's just that I spent hours to set up many of my applications to fit my needs, but now that I'm about to hard-reset my device, I think I won't reinstall everything that is currently on my PPC, but just put back the one I really need. Yet, it will be awfully long to set up again all those apps, that's why I hope such a solution exists...

Thanks again !

No.
There exist snapshot solutions for Windows XP that claim to be able to do - if executed after each install and config. Never heard of anything like this for WM.

OK, it's a shame, but I will have to do otherwise :)
Thanks for your reply, maze1980 !

If anyone else has an idea or a tip on how to do that, I'm open ;)

sktools has a make cab file function in the Installed programs list.so you can first deep scan the program so that sktools finds out all the registry entries and then make a cab out of it see if that works and tell me

Thank you, I'll try, hoping the deep scan is efficient and won't forget any setting...
Thanks again :)
