2 Books by Rosie Clarke
Requirements: epub, mobi, azw3 reader, 933 KB
Overview: Hello, to all my readers, here in the UK and all over the world. I currently write for Boldwood Books as Rosie Clarke. My books are gritty, emotional stories with characters that reach out to the reader and draw you into their world. They want you to become their friend as they tell you of their loves, hates, grief and happiness. Mostly set during the two World Wars they are usually in series, though now and then I do a standalone.
Genre: General Fiction

A Mother's Shame - Maggie Bailey has not had an easy childhood. Her father, Michael, always too easy with his fists after spending the family’s rent money down the pub.
Just sixteen, in love and blinded by promises, Maggie sees marriage to handsome Jack as her great escape. However, she soon finds herself abandoned with a beautiful baby when Jack disappears. Maggie is forced to seek a new life away from the East End of London and finds herself a job at a hotel in Eastbourne.
Here she must learn to fend for herself and also accept a shocking discovery that she was fostered as a babe and nothing is known of her real parents.
Her employer, Aunt Beth, is kind and her life improves – but Maggie makes one mistake after another and, eventually, they lead to a terrible tragedy that will bring her to the point of no return.
Will Maggie ever find true happiness and discover the secret of her birth?
A Sister's Destiny - A young woman’s journey is beset with trials and tribulations, but will it end in happiness?
As war looms in Europe, 18-year-old Jane Shaw, runs her family’s household as an unpaid servant on a meagre budget.
When her beloved younger brother dies in suspicious circumstances, Jane as his carer, is forced to take a position in service looking after Ned, a troubled young boy. Here she meets Ned’s Uncle, dashing David Heron, and they form an immediate attachment which will impact Jane’s whole life.
Finding themselves orphaned, Jane and her sister Melia are left at the mercy of their domineering Aunt Alice. Struggling to cope with Aunt Alice's exacting wishes Jane decides to strike out on her own and do her bit for King and Country in the Nursing Corp. Here, despite the terrible conditions she finds her one true vocation and one true love.
But Jane’s destiny has many more cruel twists and turns to come.
Will she ever find her peace and get her happy-ever-after?
And where does her destiny lie and with whom?
