01 Ravensworth
Luc De Malvais is the leader of the famed Breton Horse Warriors; he is a legend in battle, a feared and ruthless swordsman who has spent months quelling the Saxon rebellions in Northern England for King William. It is 1071, in an England now harshly ruled and occupied by the Normans. Peace is a distant memory for the Saxon people as rebellions and retribution ravage the land.
Luc suddenly finds himself in the eye of the storm when Earl Alain Rufus orders him to manage and control a wide rebel area around the large village of Ravensworth in Yorkshire. It is not long before Luc is experiencing the full violence of the maelstrom that breaks around his head.
This Breton Horse Warrior faces the most dangerous challenges of his life when he finds unexpected forbidden love with a beautiful rebel and encounters a savage and merciless enemy out for revenge. 02 Rebellion
Luc De Malvais, the renowned swordsman and Breton Horse Warrior, faces constant threats to his beautiful Saxon wife and rebellion from all sides as he becomes embroiled in a deadly plot to destroy King William that only he can stop.
It is 1075 in war-torn Brittany, where the rebel factions are lining up against King William as he prepares to lay siege to the citadel of Dol in Brittany. The King is under threat from the ruthless Fulk IV, the Count of Anjou and the rapacious King Philip of France, who is just waiting for an opportunity to invade.
Into this turmoil rides the mighty rebel Earl of Suffolk & Norfolk, Ralph De Gael, banished from England who seems determined to destroy King William and the Breton Horse Warriors.
Together with his younger brother Morvan, Luc De Malvais faces an array of enemies, rebel forces and former comrades determined to crush them. Luc’s marriage and life is on the verge of being torn apart as he fights to find the truth and save not only his King but also his wife and family.
03 Betrayal
Legendary Breton Horse Warrior Luc De Malvais and his brother Morvan find themselves unexpectedly pitted against each other on opposing sides in a struggle for the control of Normandy. Luc’s world is turned upside down as they become embroiled in rebellions and family feuds that threaten them all, but he is determined to stay faithful to his values of duty and honour.
Morvan finds himself torn when it comes to his loyalty to both his King and his brother, especially as he struggles with his all-consuming but dangerous and forbidden love for Constance, the daughter of King William.
King William now faces threats and betrayal from all sides, especially from his eldest son, Robert. King Philip of France is just waiting for an opportunity to invade Normandy and separate it from England. Robert gives King Philip that chance when he suddenly rebels against his father, and the Malvais brothers suddenly find themselves caught up in that rebellion.
Meanwhile, darker forces in the Vatican and the French court work together to manipulate both Morvan and the King’s son Robert to try and drive William out of Normandy. Morvan now has to decide whether to risk his life by fleeing with Constance or have his heart broken by watching her marry someone else.
04 Banished
It is the summer of 1080, and renowned Breton Horse Warrior, Morvan De Malvais, finds himself banished from his homeland of Brittany. Estranged from family and, more significantly, his brother Luc De Malvais, his forbidden love for Constance, the daughter of King William, has cost him dearly. He had lost her when she was forced to marry Alan Fergant, the heir to Brittany. What is more, Morvan is told that his son was put to death as soon as he was born.
Devastated, he takes his contingent of Horse Warriors to Scotland with Robert Curthose, the eldest son of King William. They are riding to attack and defeat the rebel, King Malcolm, in Edinburgh. It becomes an increasingly dangerous journey for Morvan, travelling with his men from Normandy via Flanders to Scotland. With a price now on his head, the young Horse Warrior is pursued and attacked by paid assassins, determined to claim a purse of silver.
However….. Morvan’s son is still alive and in the safekeeping of his brother, Luc De Malvais. The child is a valuable pawn for both the dark forces of the Vatican and King Philip of France as young Conn is a future heir to Normandy. Can Luc De Malvais protect the boy he has hidden in Brittany with such powerful, wealthy forces searching for him? Will Morvan even live to see his son as he rides into battle against the cunning King Malcolm?
