Overview: James Trevelyan arrives back in Portugal to find himself in temporary command of the 30th, but it is not long until he receives orders to link up with Colonel Driscoll and the rest of Wellington's Army. Almeida in Portugal and Ciudad Rodrigo in Spain are held by the British, but Massena is moving on both. James Trevelyan is assigned to take his Squadron of Hussars and assist men of the 95th Rifles who are about to engage Massena's men in hit and run raids. Ciudad Rodrigo falls to Massena, and Trevelyan is then involved in the battle at the River Coa. After that, there is Bussaco, and the vicious fight that was Fuentes D'Orono. In between, he and his men are involved in various skirmishes with the French Army, not to mention those with the ladies! There is the lovely Marie-Louise Smith-Cholmendely in London, whose clutches he has to avoid, not to mention the lovely Suzzana Alresford, one of the maids at the Trevelyan London House, who waits in hopeful longing. In Portugal, Cassandra daSouze still spins her web, and there is still the question of the renegade British officer, Harry Mossly, to be solved......
