There is always something new to see. Whether it's a comet, asteroid or spacecraft, space is a busy place and usually there is something in the sky that you've never seen before.
Astronomy is fun. I'm thinking of getting into astrophotography simply because it's fun. Most everything has been photographed before, so I'm not doing anything new here.
Astronomy is social. I am a member of a local astronomy club, and even after we've packed up our scopes for the night, many of us stick around just talking about space.
