The new market app does not work on my AT&T Samsung Galaxy Note 2. Files won't download and if you push any of the new buttons at the top of the app, the app crashes. Please fix.

EDIT: Files will download, but for some reason, they show up as unknown file types instead of .apk files. This never happened with the old version of the market app. Not zip files, either. Can anyone offer any suggestions?

EDIT 2: Updated the app on my tablet and it works fine. Just my NOTE 2 that doesn't like it for some reason.

Same thing with my galaxy s2.also the new market crashed after 2nd opening.
Will try to empty market's cache now...
EDIT: emptying cache didn't help

Psycho...phew! Glad Im not the only one! Thought I was going nuts there. I guess they forgot to test the new market app on Samsung devices.

Seems to be a samsung device issue.. I'm not sure, too early to know. :(

Also when i try to download something it says that download putted in queue and will begin shortly but download starts immediately but always files are corrupted...

Some downloads may appear to be corrupted but in reality they are in a archive format. Is that automatically unzip folders option checked? Make sure it is. Even with it checked sometimes files are doubled zipped by some up-loaders so try double checking via root explorer. :)

There is an issue though with my brothers S2.

Yeah. Its not a zip file/archive issue. Something is definitely messed up.

To those who are having problems: please install CatLog, run the app, wait for it to crash, and then post your log.

Files download fine but i have to rename by adding .zip and unzip the apk file and install. Im using a samsung galaxy nexus.


Not all are working by doing this some just add the .apk

so it seems the problem is the files arent getting the proper extension name.

arghhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!I was adding .rar extension!!!!
Still it is an app problem though!
Edit:no rename operation gives me a valid file.Tried .rar .zip and .apk everything is corrupted!

working alot better now. But why would some files automatically unzip and some not. I noticed this a few weeks ago on the older version.

because some files are double zipped i.e. a .zip file inside of another .rar or .zip file
