Just out of curiosity what does Adaptive Launcher Banner For Chromecast HD do?

You can bypass the update check by pressing the update via browser option, the app then opens up behind a pop up screen. Simply tap the app in the background and it will open and the nag screen goes away

you can also bypass the update check by starting the app with internet access off. Run a search; while it is searching, turn internet on, cancel the search and you're back to the menus

On TV it is anyways very difficult to do things. My Android TV works stupidly and half the thing no longer work. Anyhow, one way I could do was allow it to download everytime and cancel the installation. Though it kept downloading on every launch. Lols
