thanks for the super quick resolution nokia! wiped data and uninstalled the old version. then followed same instructions as first post to install new version and all is well again. did notice the drug id database is 167mb now even though i updated most recently 2 days ago (all other databases show small update sizes) but other then that, perfect!

EDIT: seems that wiping data will show some updates that show up as larger than they should be (> 100mb) and some that are the right size (few kb). after playing around with wiping data/reinstalling i found that updating the proper sized ones selectively worked ok, but when restarting the app and updating the larger ones, it wouldnt update (would show up to date, then show update available again, then back to up date after attempting update, then update available, and so forth). i ended up wiping data and just updating everything again all at once even though the sizes were much larger than they should have been (unless lexi had multiple huge updates in the last 2 days). Regardless, update works fine as everything downloaded. Thanks again, nokia

I think you have gone down the same line as the WIDOW on http://www.sinfuliphone.com/showthread.php?t=17653. He edited the expiration date on the specific databases, which will allow the databases to work past the normal expiration date, but does not overcome the server side check that occurs. WIDOW could not think of a way to overcome it, and eventually stopped. I hope that you might have another approach, but I have worked on this, and could not come up with a solution that gets pass the one month trial period.

Same here buddy, don't know whats the issue? I am not so sure about opening .db files on pc, but I am trying for the same but till now no success.
PS: Got it, had to do a lots of manual editing (2 & 1/2 hrs) Will give it a finishing touch after taking a break.

Yes thats the problem. Read the first post regarding issues with the updates. Try following the instructions given.
I have also experienced same with drug Id, if the above solution doesnt helps. I would suggest you to delete drug Id database inc. it media folder from sd card & redownload it from the app.

Yes that's quite true, its always a huge obstacle when it comes to bypassing the server. But I dont think Its a big deal, reinstalling app every month (of course if you need to update databases that frequently). But in this version getting pass the trial version was not the only thing, making all the modules to show in the app was the one of the biggest hurdle to get past. Anyway I will continue to provide with monthly release, if no workaround is available in upcoming days, coz this work is costing heck of a time & really hampering my studies. But monthly release that I can promise for sure.

Here it is after nearly 3 & half hours of work, got a near perfect .html version of the database incl. clinical photos, radiological images & flow charts.

Instructions for usage:

»Download the file from below link.

»Extract the zip file & get the harrison's Practice.html & the folder containing its corresponding html files. Remember keep the harrisons practice.html & the folder named harrisons practice_files in the same directory (in one folder only).

»Open this file using browser (chrome & firefox preferred; IE doesn't works well).

»Let it get loaded completely (its around 25 Mb so it will need some time to open completely, so don't be impatient).

»Now if the page loaded completely, It's not like phones lexi comp in which you can select a topic to view.

»To get a particular topic, you need to search it in the page. *If you don't know how to search: Press Ctrl & F both these buttons simultaneously. You will see a search box on the right upper corner of the Page in Chrome(latest version) & just above the start button in firefox(latest version).

»Now in the phone's harrison's practice, choose a topic you need to take print outs of.

»In PC, type Name of that topic in the searchbox, hit search.
It will take time if the topic is placed at the end of the page.

»So there you have it, select the particular topic (or its part which you need to print).

»Hit print (remember In Print Range section choose "Selection", instead of All & Pages from )
It will take print out of that particular selected text.

Hello nokia670819, you are amazing!! please crack this skyscape the way you cracked lexicomp. If we have lexicomp and skyscape we dont need any other softwares as these are most comprehensive. Methods of Rab and others by keyserver are tedious and do not work all time. All medicos are not computer geeks. I know you can do it, just do it..

the huge number of posts/ replies and suggestions by plenty, how to use keyserver etc etc shows that cracking skyscape needs some other way around. it has wasted much time figuring this way that way. work of rab is laudable but we all will be grateful if its simple to use or whats use in trying. doctors are not computer geeks.
