His name is Tucker White, and he’s different from any man Cass has ever known. Tall, tattooed, and bad-ass gorgeous, he’s the lead singer of the rock band Damaged. From the moment they meet, Tucker sees something in Cass he just can’t shake. Something beautiful. Something haunted. Something special. And he’s determined to find out what it is—if only he can get her to open up and let him in. . . .

This book reached in and ripped my guts out, one page at a time. The intensity and detail of the writing was amazing and I couldn't, literally, put the book down. I stayed up late, read on the way to work and finished it during my lunch break. The characters were beautifully flawed, the scene setting dirty and believable and most of all, REAL.

Cassie's life is spot-on for her situation. Desperate, broken and depressed; accepting of her (forced upon) fate. She wants more, but doesn't believe that she really deserves it and therefore takes what's given to her and rolls with the punches. Literally.

Tucker is exciting, gifted and broken in his own ways, but he adores Cassie from the instant he sees her. He wants her to have better and strives to show her that she deserves it. Their lives are polar opposite, but they are drawn together despite it. And of course, when you have this much difference... fires ignite and they are stripped apart.

But the end gives you so much hope, that it makes it all worth it. In short, I regret nothing when it comes to devouring this book!

This book was awful. Cass, the heroine, lives with her addlebrained mother and her abusive boyfriend. Everywhere she turns she is the victim and OMG this women loves being a victim: at work, home and even at the Laundromat. There’s a moment when she has saved up a few hundred Dollars to escape and what does she? She just gives it up to bail out her stupid ass boyfriend, Jax. She didn’t have to do it either. Nobody knew that she had saved up money. It's like this:
Jax: "I need money"
Cass: "How much"
Jax: "A lot"
Cass: "Oh"
Jax: "I need it"
Cass: "Ok" (how convenient for her that it's exactly the same amount of money)
And then this insta-love thing with Tucker White was not a bit realistic or believable. There’s a song she hums all day from the band Damaged. But she doesn’t even recognize the lead singer when he’s in her diner, eating at her table?????? Yeah, right.
Ugh so so so stupid.
