Beneath the Waves is her first published work and is about an adorably-aggressive merman and the scientist who finds him after he gets stranded because of an injury.
It's a fast-flowing book and she absolutely loved writing it and is currently working on the second book in the series.

Beneath the Waves #1: After being a researcher for over six years, Parker finds himself in a very awkward situation when he decides to visit one of his friends, a long-time fisherman named Kenton, and ends up in way over his head. He had intended for it to just be a short visit before heading home to start dinner but luck hadn't been on his side. He had stayed for just one minute too long after his friend had left and did the one thing he swore he'd never do, which was interfere with nature...and now he was heading home. With a merman.
Beneath the Lies #2: Oliver had been a marine researcher for several years before going back through school to add aquatic doctor to his resume. He has a short fuse when it came to his temper but he is always loyal to Parker and Jayson, his two best friends, and takes his job very seriously. His life happily revolved around the ocean and the amazing creatures that swam beneath its waves until an unfortunate accident leaves him questioning his ability to ever return to the thing he had once loved with all his heart.
