Skin Walkers series by Susan A. Bliler (#2-3, 10-11, 13-15, 17-20)
Requirements: .ePUB/AZW3 Reader, 3.5 MB
Overview: My pack territory is in North Central Montana. Born and raised in an untamed location that bridges the gap between rolling prairie and majestic mountain peaks, I am born to a family that also bridges the gap between cultures. My father's people boast a fiercely proud Scottish ancestry while my mother's tribes descend from two savagely beautiful and unique nations that inspire my Skin Walkers series.
Genre: Romance

RedKnife (#2): Cindy Sambrano hates her life. She lives in a crappy little house, drives a crappy little car, and has a crappy younger brother, Cody. After their parents’ death, she feels compelled to take care of him, to try to keep him on the straight and narrow, but--as usual--he’s messed up again. Owing a huge debt some seriously bad dudes, Cindy’s brother needs help getting the cash. His plan? Rob Cindy’s employer, Monroe StoneCrow. Cindy has no intentions of following through. Her true plan is to work triple and quadruple shifts to help earn the money to pay off Cody’s debt. Hell, she’s even willing to go so far as to take up the offered employee housing on the Estate to save on rent and gas. She just needs to string her brother along long enough to keep him from doing something stupid until she can dig them out of debt.

Problem? Of course there is.
CEO and Dominant Walker, Monroe StoneCrow, receives information from his Sentry, RedKnife KillsPrettyEnemy, that convinces the CEO that Ms. Sambrano has ulterior motives at StoneCrow and could be working with the Walkers’ enemy faction, the Megalya. Too late, RedKnife realizes that he’s put Cindy’s life in jeopardy with his inadvertent misinformation. Knowing the CEO won’t back down, it’s up to RedKnife to steal Cindy from the Dominant Walker and hide her until he can prove two things: One, her innocence to Monroe, and two, he needs to show Cindy that she is his One.

Bishop (#3): What happens when Doctor Jenny Houlton hides her affliction from her Skin Walker mate, Bishop Arkinson? For six agonizing months, Bishop has been suffering. When he discovers Jenny’s deceit and betrayal, he’s too far gone to control his inner beasts.

Ravaged by the one man she was meant to call hers, Jenny knows her own treachery is to blame. Now, her mate is spiraling from his attack on her. She’ll have to convince him that her forgiveness isn’t a ploy while owning her part in pushing Bishop past his boundaries. Can Bishop forgive Jenny for turning him into a monster? Can Jenny own up to what she’s done? How do two people at such odds find the love they deserve?

Remy (#10): Unaware of the volatile past between her brother and her Commander, Harlow EnemyHunter doesn’t understand her Commander’s clear aversion to her presence on his team. Determined to fit in, Harlow goes to great lengths to prove her worth, earn respect, and hide her infatuation for her Commanding Officer. Remy McCabe has waited years to get revenge on fellow Skin Walker, Mason EnemyHunter. What better way to hurt a Walker then to hurt those that he loves? When Harlow is brought to Remy all he has to do is ignore his inner beasts and follow through with his plan to use her to hurt Mason. Problem is, not only can he not bring himself to hurt Harlow, his damn protective instincts surge to the fore every time she’s near. When war is brought to StoneCrow, all bets are off and Remy is torn between protecting Harlow and allowing her to be the solider she’s trained to become.

Taken (#11): Nyree was thriving as the best female Sentry assigned to the Skin Walker teams. Placed on special assignment, she was flattered to have been chosen to train the Keepers who’d just arrived at the Estate. Keepers were different from the Walkers she’d been trained with. Highly aggressive toward females, she found out too late that Keeper aggression was sexual and not a disdain for the female species. Paired with a Keeper, Rohmulus, who clearly despises her, Nyree is shocked that when the Estate comes under attack, Rohm opts to protect her above all others, including himself. Rohm, like all Keepers has been warned by the Ruling Keeper, Fatal, to keep his hands off the human female assigned to train them. When she is paired with him though, the hunger that he’d been holding at a slow simmer boils over. Taken captive, their captors abuse Nyree to get action from Rohm, and he’ll do whatever it takes to keep Nyree from harm even if it means gifting her a part of his very soul.

Baymac (#13): Grace Rowland is on the run from an abusive ex-boyfriend. Her decision to move on couldn’t have come at a worse time because the blizzard blasting the state has made it impossible for her friend to retrieve her from the small town she’s holed up in. Assured that someone is coming for her, Grace is leery as all hell when a sexy behemoth arrives and claims to be her transportation.Baymac Southon, Skin Walker Sentry, is pissed at his most recent assignment. Retrieve a human and escort her to the wolf shifters in Glacier? Puh-lease! He’s too damn skilled to be wasting his talents on such a pathetic mission.

Between picking up Grace and getting her through the storm, Baymac’s protective instincts quickly grow to something much stronger. Familiar with Dominant Walker, Monroe StoneCrow’s games, Baymac tries to fight his attraction to the human woman, but when he finds out that she’s going to the wolves so they can find her a mate, feral possessiveness clouds his judgment. Wolf shifter battles have been scheduled and Grace is the prize. Baymac needs to decide if he’s going to deliver Grace to her awaited fate or keep her for himself.

Bellis (#14): Bellis StCroix, Skin Walker Assassin, only comes out of the shadows when he’s called to duty. The reason? Because he is a shadow himself. Pitch black skin, silky ebony hair, and inky wells for eyes, Bellis’ looks have set him apart from his kind his entire life. Because he’s so different there will never be hope for an Angel in his future. Angels don’t exist in hell. But when his latest mission has him capturing a Megalya enemy, the petite female in his arms isn’t what he expected. Feisty, fierce, and sexy as sin, his little prisoner has his inner beasts snarling to protect her instead of locking her up. Samantha Michaels is Megalya. Enemy to Skin Walkers, her brother has killed his fair share of the rare shifters. What her brother doesn’t know is that Sam is working with the Skin Walker Dominant to help bring the Megalya down. Everything is going according to plan until she’s captured by a Demon Walker, and this Demon, Bellis, doesn’t know of her duplicity. With a traitor still in the Skin Walker ranks, Sam can’t trust Bellis with the truth of her identity, which means she’s got to keep up her act. Problem is, the longer Bellis guards her, the less she wants him thinking she’s the enemy.

Tyce (#15): Briel Solomon hates Skin Walkers. Because of Skin Walkers, her father is dead and she and her sister are now parentless and on the run. She’ll have to rely on Monroe StoneCrow one last time for financial assistance, but once she gets what he owes her, she’ll be gone. Tyce’s casual indifference to the simple mission he and his team have accepted is typical. Self-assured to the point of cockiness, he knows no one is better at the hunt then he and his Apex Skin Walkers. Hell, he even finds it laughable that Monroe is willing to give up such a hefty financial prize for the simple retrieval mission of one human female. Cake! The mission is going to be a piece of cake!

Making an enemy of Monroe StoneCrow is a mistake, and taunting Monroe is going to be Tyce’s undoing. Not only has Monroe found Tyce’s Angel, he’s sending Tyce unwittingly to her. Unlike Monroe’s SkinWalkers, Tyce and his Walker Sentries at Apex haven’t had the luxury of the inoculation that delays the affliction—the instantaneous recognition of one’s mate. Tyce is about to come face-to-face with his destiny and the poor bastard has no idea!

Recker (#17): Recker Rhodes is a Skin Walker with a serious problem. Given a mission he doesn’t want, assigned to some guy he doesn’t want to shadow, Recker’s world is rocked when it turns out the guy, Alex, is actually an Alexandra.

Alexandra “Alex” Hayworth needs a new life. After the death of her mother, she’s suffering from debilitating loneliness. She’s given up on finding a man or any hope for children, so working with the Skin Walkers is her last shot at happiness. She’ll do whatever it takes to ensure she gets passed the initial vetting, even if it means opening up to big burly Recker Rhodes.

James (#18): Skin Walker Sentry, James, is known for his jokes and good humor, but when he comes face-to-face with his past, there isn’t anything funny about it. Prim is the woman who wrecked him all those years ago. She’s his enemy, and regardless of the passion they once shared, James is determined to put her where she belongs, in a cell.

PrimRose is done running from her past. The last time she saw James, his eyes had been filled with cold, merciless hatred. She’d been forced to betray him, and he’s never understood why. Now, seeing him again after all these years, any hope for a relationship is vanishing beneath his cruel disdain. Prim knows she’s to blame for the ice that surrounds his heart, yet she’s praying that the secret she’s kept all these years and the sacrifices she’s willing to make might just warm him to her. It was a risk coming to StoneCrow, but for a shot at happiness, Prim was willing to risk it. Now, she’s just praying she survives James’ wrath.

Chief (#19): Alpha wolf shifter, Chief, has just suffered a surprising loss at the shifter pack battles, which sucks because the prize was a mate. Any hope of a she-wolf taming Chief’s out-of-control inner wolf is gone. Worse, the cost of his loss is a year stint at the Skin Walker compound, StoneCrow Estates. Being in Monroe StoneCrow’s employee isn’t someplace any wolf shifter wants to be.

Alessandra (Alise) Crane is at StoneCrow to attend the wedding of her best friend. All through the reception, she feels eyes on her. A tatted up beast in the shadows has been watching her, but she’s too busy playing bride’s maid to pay much attention. When she finally locks eyes with the beast, something happens. Alise suffers some sort of attack, and the only thing that eases the agony tearing through her is the touch of the man who’s been stalking her.

Legion (#20): She’s his hostage…and his mate!
Brooklyn Ami is shocked to learn that she’s sick. Not just sick, she’s terminal. Dominant Skin Walker, Monroe StoneCrow, has devised a plan to save her. Monroe claims to have found her Skin Walker mate, and he intends to pair them in the hopes that the Walker DNA that spares Skin Walkers from illness and disease will provide Brooklyn the same protections. In disbelief, Brooklyn refuses, but no one says ‘no’ to Monroe.

Legion Knight, a Skin Walker Sentry and pilot, has been assigned an unheard-of mission. Take StoneCrow’s Events Coordinator, Brooklyn Ami, and make her his, no matter the cost. Without her consent, he collars Brooklyn and removes her from the Estate. Holding his Angel hostage isn’t the way he’d imagined he’d claim his mate, but for her sake, it can’t be helped.

*This is book 20 in the Skin Walkers series; however, since each book in this series focuses on a different couple, they can be read as STAND-ALONES.
