Battle Scars Series by J. P. Webb (#1-6)
Requirements: ePUB Reader, 872 kb,
Overview: I have always loved reading and writing, and lately have come to enjoy the dynamic that can exist between two strong male characters who find themselves falling in love with each other. Add to this my empathy with returning war veterans and my love of animals, and the "Battle Scars" series was born.
Genre: Romance, MM

1. Home Grounds - Sam and Trey are both trying to find meaning in their lives after injuries end their military careers. Sam thinks he has found it in caring for abused animals; Trey is looking for it on the open road. Sam doesn’t think he’d ever be able to feel again; Trey has spent his whole life hiding emotion behind a wise-cracking exterior. Unexpected passion flares between them, but old ghosts, old fears, and the complexities of real life try to come between them
2. Worth Fighting For - Austin and Cracker are two very different men, both trying to recover from the trauma of war. Austin hides his wounds and his fears behind a well-ordered exterior. The wall that he has built around his life protects him from the chaos and demons of the outer world. Cracker doesn’t even give people his real name. He has perfected the image of a big easy-going country-boy to protect himself and those around him from the warrior who threatens to break out and create havoc.
Austin’s wall starts to crumble when that big country boy hits it straight on – with a gentle blow to the heart. Danger brings out the true warrior in both of them – and the feelings they have for each other.
3. Love, Pictured - Boyd and Charlie have each been waiting all their lives for the right man to come along. When they finally meet, it turns out that the path to happiness is not as smooth as they had expected. The pot-holes, bumps and detours turn out to be extremely interesting, not to mention hot and sweaty. Each man has had dreams and fantasies about the lover they waited for, but the reality is quite different. Is this really love?
4. Here and Now, and Forever - Jake has no home to return to after he’s discharged from the service, so he when he finds a place to belong he’s happy to just find a niche and settle in. Pat grew up on the street and the army didn’t provide the security he had hoped for. He needs to heal before he can move on with his life, but isn’t sure where that journey will take him. Learning to love Pat is going to change Jake’s quiet life, but it could be the saving of both of them.
5. Love is the Difference - Dan is out of the military now, and has had enough excitement to last a lifetime, so the cute guy in the pet store might be just his type. Murphy is a shy veterinarian looking for a walk on the wild side, but he gets a little bit more than he bargained for. Are these two meant for each other?
6.Dreaming Grounds - Ed has lived a life of luxury but is tired of his lonely privileged existence. Jon is a veteran still recovering from his wounds, convinced that no-one will want his scarred body. Somehow, they are made for each other, and once they meet they are convinced that nothing can ever tear them apart. All too soon this is proven wrong when Ed’s own family threatens him, and the only way he can protect Jon is by pretending he doesn’t love him. This isn’t a game either of them wants to play, but survival depends on it. Support comes in many shapes and forms, and in the end, love wins.
