Austin Key is a working hard to become a star animator. A college graduate working freelance, he has a passion for his work and a dedication to doing things the right way – even when it comes to the one-night stands he picks up in college bars across the city. Feeling a bit directionless and alone since graduation, Austin is desperate to land a steady job, searching for a chance to start over… when an ex unexpectedly enters the picture.
Leo Lockhart didn’t mean to return to his college town. In this city, he had been branded a playboy and a heartbreaker, even though all he truly wanted was to find something real. Running out of rent money and time, he runs into Austin and decides that once and for all, he’s going to make things right.
Austin had promised himself not to ever let Leo back into his life again, but Leo isn’t the same guy that broke his heart in college. He seems to know exactly when Austin is feeling vulnerable or unsure. It’s not long before Austin and Leo are drawn too close to each other, ending up in bed after a night out drinking. The old flame is fanned into a fire – until Austin wakes up sober, terrified of what he’s done. He proposes a truce: a relationship without feelings. Nights only. The only problem is, Austin isn’t sure he can keep it that way.
With their history dangling over their heads, their relationship complicates further as a former classmate gets involved. As their time together begins to draw to a close, one of them might have to do something drastic – before they lose their chance forever.
2. A New Beginning - “No one is going to help you, if you won’t help yourself.”
Stephen’s heard it again and again, and he’s been punishing himself for years for his mistakes. He finally has a job he likes at a quiet little bakery in a sweet, small town, and he’s working hard to prove himself to his ex and his daughter. But every time things get tough, he seeks comfort at the bottom of the bottle.
Then he meets his handsome new coworker Rowan . . . who won’t give him an inch. Rowan’s family built the bakery from scratch, and there’s no way he’s going to let Stephen’s irresponsibility ruin what they have.
