I’m free of my past relationship and its abuse. Or at least so it feels when I’m with Wynn. He makes me feel safe—and I haven’t felt like this in a long time. I know my ex isn’t entirely out of the picture. I only left him a note, after all, he’s bound to be furious about that.
And I haven’t told my family about my change in relationship yet. I’m not sure how they’ll take it, after all. They like Alistair—they don’t like Wynn. But I don’t particularly want to tell them the truth either. It’s over and done with, I don’t want to keep dwelling on it.
Until Alistair actually does come back—and then I’m forced to deal with it properly.
This book was previously released as part of the first book and under a different pen name. It has undergone small changes and some added scenes.
