As the wars heat up between rival clans, the man who is hesitant to fight his kin is drawn into a battle that spans of the Isles and a major part of the civilized continent. Allies from as far away as Africa are roped into battles that use aged weapons and futuristic technology.
The man in the middle that witnesses all this becomes a wizard – the Alchemist of the times who makes concoctions that do not exist at a time when battles were conducted in close combat. The story then races to the finish as he tries to free himself from the consequences of actions and the accidents of fate.
