1.5] SEASON OF SACRIFICE:
Danni wakes up and notices an intruder in her house. She jumps up and runs to the bathroom and out the window. The intruder follows her to a grocery store and bespells the clerk. As he guides Danni outside, an enraged Guardian faces him; it is Grellix, Danni’s bonded Guardian. Grellix frightens off the man and takes Danni home. After a bit of discussion, Danni and Grellix go to their cabin outside the city. In the morning, when Grellix is stone, Danni gets a phone call from her sister-in-law. Stacy has been taken by a group of vampires and they want Danni to come to them. Danni knows that a bonded couple cannot survive for more than 24 hours without each other and thinks that she will never see Grellix again, but she has to go. Will Danni and Grellix survive?
2] BIRTH OF RIVALRY:
1290 A.D. in Orphieto, Italy, Ysa yearns for the touch of her fiancé, Vitale, but he wants to wait until their marriage bed. Ysa loves the stability of Vitale, but she craves to be free
of society's restrictions. Pandolfo, the cousin of Vitale, caters to her wildness by giving her what she desires.
When Ysa and Pandolfo meet for a tryst, Vitale walks in on them. Pandolfo lands a killing blow with his knife. Ysa curses Pandolfo with the words she learned from her gypsy grandmother. Ysa begs the goddess to save Vitale. Vitale agrees to the goddess’ tenets wherein he is granted life though not as a human, but as an immortal, a gargoyle.
On the run with Pandolfo, Ysa knows that Vitale will forgive her and come for her. Pandolfo will do anything to keep Ysa, even at the cost of his soul. Ysa will have to choose between two men that she loves but only one holds her heart.
