Overview: Born and raised at a lake in rural lower Michigan, Mr. Scott claims a happy childhood with swimming, water skiing, hunting, and ice skating, and later in high school playing in the school orchestra, the marching band, and a small dance band. He claims to have played the instrument laughingly referred to as the Slush Pump.
Working his way through college and in later years, he accumulated a wide variety of work and personal background experiences, including teacher, deputy in the Sheriff’s Marine Division, scuba diver, lecture traveler, industrial illustrator, carpenter, and bowling, bar, and restaurant business owner/operator.
He started writing in the mid-eighties with many short stories under the num de plume Paul Kidd and published in Playguy, Firsthand, Guy, Stars, Manscape, AMen, AdvocateMen, and Swan magazines from 1985 through 1991.
With the closing of the bowling center, he grew tired of city life with too many nights in gay bars and back rooms, so he moved north to a most satisfying job managing and living at a small RV resort. When acquaintances inquire when he would come south for a visit, he smiles and replies the expressway only goes north. He says stop in and say hello sometime.
With seasonal time available, he returned to writing in late 2010. He claims to write from experiences, memories, and a great imagination. Along with a number of short stories, he is currently working on a “coming out” novel, a gay slave trader novel, and a fiction trilogy relating the struggle of teens facing life and bullying.

He Touched My Heart
Silver fox Robert is celebrating his birthday and coming out on the same day. He’s traveled three hundred miles to spend the day with his friend Larry, who treats Robert to his first gay restaurant and then to the Westside Club.
At the club, Robert is awed by the nearly naked stage dancer Bobby. Sparks fly between the two as the evening unfolds, and Bobby dances his heart out for Robert. When Bobby loses his balance and plunges into Robert’s arms, they find themselves on the floor amid the patrons. Bobby’s dance continues, taking on sexual overtones as he rides Robert in blatant violation of the club’s rules.
Before leaving, Robert gives Bobby his business card. Will the younger man call once the music ends and the dance is over?
Jimmie the Adonis
Jimmy keeps coming into Thomas Sebastian’s magic store. Eventually he plucks up the courage to ask for something to help him win a dance audition at Manny Malone’s gay bar, the Golden Slipper. Jimmy explains he’s desperate for the job to help pay his rent.
The 500-year-old Thomas is captivated by the young man’s sexy good looks. He gives Jimmy a charm with a confidence-boosting spell, warning the spell can only dispense its magic a limited number of times.
Thomas and his boyfriend Kevin go to watch Jimmy’s audition, but when the young man begins his strip tease, it soon becomes obvious Jimmy has already used up all the charm’s magic.
Kevin sympathizes with Jimmie’s plight and urges Thomas to do something. The results surprise and delight the eager and horny crowd, leading to a night none of them will ever forget. But will Jimmie be able to stay in his apartment because of his talent or will it be his fate to finish his audition on Manny’s office couch as so many before him have?
