2. Risk & Romance - Bing. Bang. Boom. That’s how Charlotte’s life is going.
First, her summer romance lands on the rocks, because reality is, she has bills to pay - and that’s hard to do when you're an archaeologist living in rural East Texas. Bing.
Then an opportunity drops in on her she can’t say no to, because she signed a contract. But, in a weird way, this is her passion - digging up bones and researching ancient history - even if it’s not exactly her field of expertise. So she takes the job. Bang.
And now the BOOM. Her old colleague is back from the dead, working with a past nemesis. She’s allied herself with his brother (does he know Alaric’s alive?) and between them all are mammoth bones, millions of dollars, and Charlotte’s secret hunt for a legendary - and maybe even mythical - Native American artifact.
Sure, she’s distracted by the promise of gold and history. But she can totally handle hiking the wild mountains, a sexy Scot, grizzly bears, avalanches, death threats, and everything else that comes with chasing ghosts...right?
3. Love & Legends - Boo-yah! Charlotte’s finally got this thing called ‘life’ figured out. Or so she thinks...
With a supportive heart-throb boyfriend and a rewarding job she’s passionate about, she’s set to reconnect with her mother (and her half-siblings) in Florida over the Thanksgiving holidays.
Charlotte’s sister is obsessed with the lost city of Atlantis and an ancient roman coin. Normally, Charlotte would be all about hunting ancient treasure...but she’s grown up, learned from her mistakes, yada,yada, yada.
But (and you know there is always a but) weird things are happening, including brushes with paint-balling maniacs, a kidnapping attempt, treks through swamps, hostage negotiations and...a bouquet of spiders.
Will Charlotte succumb to the allure of another ancient legend and start investigating? Of course. And the question isn’t what she’s gonna find - it’s who.
4. Trouble & Treasure- The high stakes world of artifact recovery for ‘art collectors’ is schemingly cutthroat, at best.
At worst….it’s bloody diabolical. Charlotte Ivey is a professor of archaeology and in this final installment of the series, she’s going to have to call upon all her skills and knowledge to extricate herself, heartthrob-superspy-ex-lover Jamie, and his brother from the clutches of the Italian mafia.
And she’s got to do it alone. Because Jamie’s gone rogue.
In exchange for the debt owed, she’s got to find and hand over an ancient lost treasure: King Solomon’s ring. She’ll traverse Italy and Germany, visit castles and villas, dance with a psychopathic Don, and of course, dig up things better left in the dirt. Like an illegitimate love child...
Can Charlotte outwit, outrun, and out maneuver to come away unscathed in this highest-stakes yet super spy game? You betcha. Well mostly.
