Joseph Stark looked at his son. More was broken than his leg. Ever since Connor’s fiancé had left him, his son had been despondent. It hadn’t helped when Connor’s horse fell on him. Staring at the newspaper ad about nurses, Joseph knew what he had to do.
Connor had terrified the help long enough. Joseph would order a nurse for Connor. Maybe she would help him heal his leg and surly attitude.
