Overview: Barrett Magill is a writer and Golden Crown Literary Society Award Finalist who published six novels in four years including: Damaged in Service; Defying Gravity; Dispatched with Cause; Deliver Us From Evil; Balefire; Windy City Mistletoe, and Flights of Fancy before joining Sapphire Books.
Her release entitled "The Dreamcatcher" was released January 15, 2017. "Balefire" was re-released in June 2017. Her novel, "Highland Dew" was an April 2018 release. In 2019, all four books from The Damaged Series will be re-released in ebook form. That will be followed by a new addition to the series, "Destiny's Child" in July.

After retiring from a 35 year nursing career, she moved west. Now, Barrett enjoys the inspiring mountain views from two acres of prairie in New Mexico's high desert. The devoted pack includes: a wonderful chocolate lab, a hyper border collie mix, and a sweet young husky mix with blue eyes.

1. Balefire
Silke Dyson is a sculptor who is dealing with impaired vision as a result of a physical assault. Kirin Foster is a pragmatic travel magazine writer with wonderful opportunities to see the world. Their lives collide at thirty-thousand feet during a tropical storm and they strike up a friendship under the Belize sun. Much to their delight, they discover they both live in Milwaukee and, back home, they develop an easy rapport amidst common interests and friends.
