Overview: Edwin Hall arrives at the Difford Estate in North Devon, after he escaped with his life, from the African conflict. When Cecilia is introduced to David Sylvester as a potential suitor, he seems on paper to be the perfect man for her, but Hall discovers something about David that, for the family’s sake, must never come to light.
When the future of the Estate is jeopardised, Hall must show his hand and risk losing the trust of his esteemed employer Sir Charles and losing his position as butler to a respected family.
