I hate when people say beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Most people have the same idea of what beautiful is—and I’m not it. A house fire left me more than just homeless as a child. It left me with a permanent reminder of what I survived. Now I hide in long sleeves and scarves, but I wish for the day that someone might look at me and see the real me, not just my scars.
XANDER
I’ve always had the ability to look at something that’s broken or been thrown away and turn it into something useful. It’s a skill that has given me great pride to help my small mountain community. But there’s a piece of me that’s broken, and it’s beyond my abilities to try and rebuild on my own.
3. CALDER - What influenced your decision to join Meridian Matchmakers to find love?
VIOLET
From an early age, I’ve always had a plan. From what university I would attend, what career I would choose, and how many children I will have. When I set a goal for myself, it’s not if it will happen, but when it will happen. I’ve worked very hard to get where I am in my career, leaving little time for a relationship. I have clear expectations of an ideal partner for me, and I think that outside assistance will be beneficial to stay the course for my plans for a husband.
CALDER
As a young boy, I somehow survived a car accident that I shouldn’t have with only some scrapes and bruises. This second chance inspired me to live my life on the edge of chaos. It’s not living if you have to pencil something in. I’m interested in someone looking for adventure, who isn’t afraid to take my hand and leap.
