Playing the Market: Lyle's a workaholic. The only thing he indulges in aside from making money is exercising and sleeping. Then he meets Rupe.
Rupe is the exact opposite of Lyle, working construction jobs during the summer and saving the money so he can hang out, ride his bike and just plain enjoy life the rest of the year.
For two men who are so different, they get along like a house on fire. But can it last? Do they even want it to? What are they willing to give up to keep seeing each other.
From Away (Spurs & Saddles): Times are tough all around and East Coast fisherman Freeman has started hauling tourists out to see the whales to supplement his fishing income. Alberta cowboy Josh knows just how bad things are--he recently lost his father and debt ate up his inheritance. He's out to see the ocean and the whales before he goes back home and looks for any work he can find. Freeman takes Josh under his wing and makes sure the "from away" cowboy has a chance to experience everything the Maritimes have to offer, including Freeman himself. Can these two hard-working men find a way to make their own happiness work for them?
Once Upon a Veterinarian: Ben has a good life. Partner in a thriving veterinarian clinic with his best friend Stacey, he has a great dog, a favorite Chinese take-out place and a great DVD collection. The only thing he doesn't have is a special someone to share his life with. When Ben has a number of poisoned animals come through his clinic, he calls in the police, suspecting that these aren't random tragedies, but deliberate killings. Enter Constable Tim Geary. Dog and cat poisonings are fairly low on the priority list, but Tim decides to look into them. The attraction between Tim and Ben is immediate and soon Chinese food and more is on the menu. Life has a way of trying to keep the boys apart, though. Can they find a way to overcome their busy lives and be together?
Loving in the Rain(Strength): Tony thinks his day is starting off pretty bad when he has to walk to work in the pouring rain. At least until he meets Brendan in the coffee shop when he stops to dry out. They hang out to beat the rain, and making a date for dinner brightens Tony's day right up. Even the temp job he works to support his artistic habits doesn't seem so bad when he has Brendan waiting for him.
Brendan likes Tony a lot, even more so when he finds out that Tony uses recycled materials for his art. Brendan works for an environmental organization that might just be interested in Tony's work, but Brendan's ideas about what else to do with Tony are a lot more personal. Will they find a love together that will teach Tony to love the rain?
