It was just supposed to be a two-month leave from my cushy job in Chicago. Stabilize the family bakery business following the death of my father, and then get back to the city. It would have gone flawlessly had I not run smack dab into Hadley Hutton on my first night back. That spit-fire competitive girl was my college nemesis, always one-upping me, until she mysteriously didn’t return for our senior year.
So, imagine my surprise when I’m introduced to the bakery’s newest manager and it’s her! Now I have to work closely with her nearly everyday. Words fly and tempers flare between us, just like they did in college, except something is different about her now. There’s more to Hadley Hutton than her sweet looks and salty attitude.
Maybe if I can figure her out, she’ll see I’m not the jerk she thinks I am.
Or maybe I’m just creating a recipe for disaster.

3. Beautiful Crazy - Oh, my God, I kissed my best friend. And I liked it!
Emily Chesney moved in a few years ago in place of her brother, and although I wasn’t excited about living with a woman I couldn’t have (her brother’s doing, not mine), we set a few ground rules and quickly became friends. Best friends.
I tried to date after she moved in. I tried with just about every girl who works on my floor at one time
or another. I even hit on a few ladies in the bar, but I never felt anything with anybody.
Zip. Zero. Zilch. No spark whatsoever.
The day my father was diagnosed though, I had a moment of weakness and kissed Emily
and I liked it. A lot. I felt it deep in my bones. It was the best kiss I’ve ever had.
I know we made rules that should be respected and followed, but damn if I don’t want to break them all with her one by one. I might be shooting myself in the foot with cupid’s arrow, but I can’t help it.
I think I’m falling for my best friend.

I’ve been crushing on a girl for months.
After my dad passed away, I needed a change and out of the family bakery, so my brother helped me get a job where she works. Now that I’m working with her, and getting to know her, I want to ask her out.
But she’s currently seeing someone else.
Someone who doesn’t deserve her.
Someone I know she doesn’t love.
I’m not the kind of guy who would try to break up a relationship, but I am absolutely the type to show a girl what she’s missing, you know, in case her relationship status changes.
This would be a lot easier though if she wasn’t the boss’s daughter.
5. No One Needs to Know - They say what happens in Vegas stays in vegas...
But when it happens in New Orleans, all bets are off.

So, I’m at my business partner’s birthday party, right?
Everything's great.
Beautiful day, good food, cold beer.
At some point during the evening, I find a piece of paper on the floor and pick it up to throw it away but notice it’s an ultrasound picture. So, of course, I go to congratulate my partner and his wife on their pregnancy which somehow causes a pandemonium between the couple and their guests.
Lo and behold, they’re not pregnant.
The baby isn’t theirs…it’s mine.
Sounds fun right?
Lemme tell you from experience...though I’ve done nothing but think about the amazing one-night-stand I had two months ago, knocking up the best gal pal of my partner’s wife, 11/10 would not recommend.
