Sure, the owner is an intimidating dragon with massive muscles and a growly demeanor. Sure, her heart pounds twice as fast when he brushes past her behind the counter. It’s a rare thing, a dragon like Finn choosing to live in a community. But Finn fell in love with this little town long ago and he’ll do anything to keep it whole. What he won’t do — what he can’t do — is fall for the wide-eyed waitress with the big glasses and the tempting curves. Dragons are possessive by nature, and if he lets himself get close, he knows he’ll grab her in his talons and fly her to the nearest mountaintop. Thea’s beautiful and strong, but she’s also been through hell, and he’s not going to make it worse by being another possessive man in her life.
But when her ex-husband shows up in town and things start to get heated, will he be able to resist the possessive instincts that boil in his veins?
3. The Slayer of Dark Hollow - Luna
I was born a Slayer, and I’ll die a Slayer. There will never be any other life for me. And most of the time, I’m cool with that. The Blackpool Slayers have spent generations protecting the interests of innocent magical people. We’re scholars and activists, not killers. Sometimes it’s tough because people hear the word ‘Slayer’ and imagine I’m going to launch across a table and drive a stake through their hearts, but usually I can win them over with some good old fashioned Luna charm.
Unfortunately for me, winning people over is what got me roped into a new assignment; one that I think might be the death of me. I’m supposed to infiltrate the Dark Hollow wolf pack, and become the mate of the pack’s leader.
It might be easier if I didn’t like Ronan so much, but he’s an absolute snack. Broad shoulders, gorgeous nut-brown hair, abs for days, and a smile that turns me to mush. I hate that I’m worming my way into his life, knowing I’m going to have to betray him. But if I don’t do this, my family will turn their backs on me. I’m torn between my head and my heart, and it’s an awful place to be.

When Luna walked through the doors of my bar on the night of a full moon, I thought it must be a mistake. Don’t get me wrong, I honed in on her like a starving man. I’ve been lusting after her ever since I first laid eyes on her, all those months ago.
But despite looking at me with bedroom eyes, she’s been avoiding me. And the truth is, I’ve been avoiding her too. Slayers are slayers from the day they’re born ‘til the day they die. They don’t hook up with wolves for the heck of it. I should know better than to trust her. I definitely shouldn’t be taking her as my mate.
