Overview: During the winter holidays, the inhabitants of Pemberley are giving thanks for many things, while also lamenting the loss of others that year. When Kitty has unexpectedly gone into labor, all in the house are overjoyed but also worried.
Also, there is a new arrival in Derbyshire. The Heywood family move to Olesia Fields Farm, a modest estate that is near Pemberley. Like proper neighbors, the Darcys pay a visit to Olesia Fields, to meet their new neighbors. Not only do they find the Heywoods to be a mixture of many interesting characters, but two of the Heywood sons begin to develop an attraction to someone in the Pemberley household. With brother put against brother, Elizabeth is worried this will lead to difficulties, but they are distracted by a crisis when a married couple has a carriage accident at Olesia Fields: Mr. and Mrs. Parker of Sanditon, Bathing Place. When Mr. Darcy learns of this, he has the couple moved to Pemberley where there is more room. In hopes of honoring the Darcys and Heywoods, Mr. Parker invites them to Sanditon so that they all can be his particular guests.
