Overview: Hi. I’m author Alex Berg. I write contemporary romances and rom-coms. My novels tend to feature clever, capable female protagonists and flawed male protagonists with hearts of gold. I try to keep them fun and flirty, with plenty of banter and even some thrills along the way. Most of them are dual POV, but there are some exceptions to the rule.
Genre: Romance

1. The Confidence Game: She’s a thief. He’s a grifter. Game on.
For Natalia Levin, life as a professional art thief is everything she hoped it would be. She travels the world, the pay is fantastic, and she gets to work in sweet, sweet solitude. But when a rival crew reaches out about joining forces to steal the one painting she’s always dreamed of, that’s an invitation she can’t resist.
Natalia figures it’ll be easy to keep the new crew at arm’s length, but her plans hit a snag when she meets their leader: smooth-talking grifter Diego Cabrera. He’s a liar, a con man, and too slick for his own good, but he’s beguiling and handsome and one hell of a storyteller. Too bad she’s going to screw him over, anyway…
But as Diego cranks up the charm, Natalia’s finding it harder and harder to keep up her charade. Not because she can’t outwit him, but because she’s starting to do the one thing she told herself she’d never do: trust him.
With passions igniting, Natalia is starting to realize she’s made a terrible mistake: she put her heart on the line while playing a confidence game.
2. Dream Big: Brooke always dreamed big, but this is ridiculous…
FBI Agent Brooke Neal is ready to take on the world—or at least make a few arrests. Following a high profile art theft, she’s itching to travel to Oslo to chase the thieves responsible, but when her nemesis coworker steals the case out from under her, she’s stuck in DC licking her wounds.
Brooke doesn’t think it can get any worse until her boss assigns her a new job: training her nemesis’ young protege, Lucas Cole.
Lucas is awkward. He’s unprepared. He’s also the size of a space shuttle, which seems like an insult given Brooke isn’t even five feet tall. But like it or not, she’s stuck with him, at least until the Oslo job is over.
But like a planet with its own gravitational field, the longer Brooke spends around Lucas, the further she gets pulled in. He’s hardworking and kind—and he has abs you could grate cheese on. As Brooke sinks deeper and deeper into his well, she’s left wondering: where exactly is the line between superior and subordinate, and how bad would it be to cross it?
