From Their Toil (#1)
While their relationship didn’t seem to be following any predetermined plan, it was amazing.
Brigitta is determined to make good on the windfall she just inherited. Unfortunately, the dilapidated homestead and massive buildings left by her parents in disrepair, may end up a larger challenge than she expected. Brigitta decides to travel to Living River Ranch to plead her case with surprising backing from the Katzen family. The only major roadblock to her groundbreaking comes in the form of Riggs. The man doesn't want all of the craziness that opening the new ranch will bring.
Riggs is a simple man that loves his peace and quiet. However, that life may now be in jeopardy when the Loving River Ranch team approaches him to do the infrastructure survey for the new ranch. He finds himself being worn down as he takes on the survey work, and all the while, Brigitta's dedication to this project begins to win him over in ways he could never have imagined.
Can he get the job done and return to his sheltered existence? Or is he about to meet a purpose higher than anything he dreamed of?

Lorelei enjoys running her small rehab company and when she learns of Brigitta’s plans with the Katzen family’s backing, she throws herself into the project in a big way. Things get a bit sticky when the hotshot construction guy is brought in with connections to the family. She is determined to not back down on this reputation-changing, amazingly purpose-driven project. When an accident makes her dependent on Braylon’s support, things get a little touch and go, leaving this project’s future in the balance.
Braylon is a man that lives by a firm code of conduct, having honorably served in the military. He respects children and women and loves God, family and his country. Unfortunately, this even-keeled man is unprepared for this petite construction foreman leading the charge on this massive undertaking at Loving River Ranch. He finds that taking orders from Lorelei is more difficult than anything he has ever done, and it stirs up feelings that he is not prepared to address.
Can these two find a way to start construction on the Loving River Ranch without bickering the entire way?

As he finds himself making more trips than expected and even lending more support at the end of his supply runs, their relationship begins to blossom.
Gemma was more grateful than ever imagined being given a shot to be on staff at the new Loving River Ranch. While it could be months before she can fully engage with clients, she decides to help with other things like small errands, learning how to write grants, ordering supplies, and some accounting to help Brigitta. She has been single for years and focused on giving back. However she is totally caught off guard by Madden's arrival and is unsure how to manage her feelings with the big job ahead of her.
Can these two with very different lives find common ground?
