Overview: You know those choices we all make that end up changing our entire lives? Yeah, I know it's cliché but I've got some of those choices under my belt. One of them was following that damn hunch and ending up somewhere I was not supposed to be. It's not my fault, I'm a P.I! I follow people all the time, who would have thought this time would be any different?
I just wanted to get another look at Blaze, the guy who doesn't kiss back. I thought maybe we could have a 'meet cute', but I was way off. There was nothing cute about what I saw that night.
Now I've got feelings inside my body that don't have anything to do with the warm and fuzzies! Well, maybe a little bit, but that's not the point. Or maybe it is? I'm conflicted.
All I really know is I was kidnapped and shown things no human is supposed to see without going absolutely bat-crap crazy. Ya know what, though? I like crazy. Bat crap and all.
I've been situated mostly against my will smack in the middle of a war, and now I've got to figure out how I'm supposed to fight against the bad guys while navigating some pretty intense feelings for this hunky hulk that was the damn catalyst for it all. It's not an easy thing, you know what I mean?
Turns out humans aren't the only ones wandering this green earth causing problems for themselves. There's a whole other species and as much as I want to scream and cry about it, I'm one of them. Just my luck.
