Overview: I have always enjoyed reading and writing, but I never considered writing a book until my kids began reading. Their bookish love inspired me! I wanted to write something they would enjoy.
Cue My Boring Werewolf Family!
I adored writing these books... but I had no idea what I was doing. I learned so much through the experience of producing those and Cozy Reader; cover art, formatting, KDP, literary agent contracts (and ending them), editing, IngramSpark, marketing, and a thousand other things.
Turns out writing is the easy part. So when I began writing Remotely Love, I thought to document it. If I could humbly share my experiences, it might help other authors!
This spurred the creation of my TikTok account and #todaywhilewriting segments. It's been an avalanche of continued learning and meeting the most amazing people since then.
I'm looking forward to everything that comes next.

Remotely Love
Like so many love stories, they met on the job. Unlike most of those stories, they had never been in the same room.
Hazel Rogers is passionate about storytelling, and that zest for story leads her life. While enjoying a self-fulfilled existence in an idyllic mountain town, she works remotely as a Communications Specialist at FutureApp and strives to advance her career. She's also an engaged friend and member of the Crestwood book club, who meet to discuss their latest spicy romances every week.
When Hazel is assigned a major project which places her on a small team with her long-time mentor Sam, things start to heat up between them. Hazel knows they can never be in a relationship. They face so many HR concerns, not to mention living clear across the country from each other!
Is a relationship with someone she has never seen below the shoulders worth risking her career?
Locally Love
They fell in love videoconferencing at their work-from-home jobs at FutureApp. They overcame timing issues, doubts, HR concerns, and a trifling coworker to be together!
Sam moved across the country to make a life with Hazel. They’ve integrated into each other’s lives, made close friendships, and even bought a home.
Sam plans to propose now that it’s the most wonderful time of the year, but he’s met with the unexpected at every turn. Between delays, competition, guests, and cancelations, Sam’s nerves about whether Hazel will say yes or not quickly give way to worries he’ll be able to propose at all!
Are the continued obstacles a sign that he’s doomed from the start, or will Sam pull off some Christmas Magic?
