3. Camdyn: An amateur magician’s disappearing act lands her in medieval Scotland.
Although Isabel Murray loves a good joke, she can hardly believe the elaborate prank of finding herself in an ancient forge. But things get a little more real when its bad-tempered armorer hauls her in front of the rest of the MacRoss warriors.
Despite the entire clan being completely charmed by Isabel, Camdyn keeps her at arm’s length. Not only is he busy making weapons, but he’s sworn off women. Little by little though, the quirky lass works inside his defenses as the two try to learn what the Fire Sword has planned for her.
But the enchanted weapon isn’t the only one with a secret plan. The high-born daughter of a mortal ally will do anything to have Camdyn to herself, including enlisting the aid of their Carack enemies.
4. Kendric: Search and rescue has never been so remote.
Lieutenant Tiana Reid is used to life or death situations. But finding a man in a ancient castle who has been stabbed with a sword isn’t the usual mission. Even so, her medical training takes over as she treats his wound. But when the clan of the castle find them, she learns they want nothing to do with her patient.
Kendric MacRoss hadn’t expected a warm welcome but a cowardly attack had been unthinkable. Imprisoned in the keepe he had once called home, he must find a way to convince his brethren of his intentions. But the gorgeous healer at his side complicates matters, more than he could have known.
Although the Fire Sword may have some secret purpose for Tiana, Kendric is sure of one thing: he will never let her go.
5. Taveon: Can a historian sent back through time keep history from repeating itself?
When Seona Kerrich tries to bury the Fire Sword in the ruins of Dun Lasair, it transports her directly to the MacRoss who place her in the dungeon. When she admits to being the last living descendant of their Carack enemies, War Master Taveon wants to imprison her indefinitely. But her knowledge of how the clans meet their bloody end prompts the MacRoss laird to send her under a flag of truce to her kin, accompanied by Taveon.
Unfortunately Struan Carack doesn’t believe her. He begins his own set of counter plans, including a shotgun wedding for Seona and Taveon. As the crushing inevitability of a clan war weighs down upon them, Taveon and Seona must not only find some way to prevent the annihilation of their peoples, they must confront their intense feelings for one another.
But as always, the Fire Sword has a plan of its own—and finally reveals it.
