I’ve barely convinced Kathleen that we’re mates. Despite her previous objections she’s getting closer to accepting she’s mine.
In a cruel twist, she’s gone. In the dead of night, she walked out the door.
What did I expect? Kathleen’s a good girl at heart. But being a lawful wife, to have and to hold, for better or worse, until death do us part wasn’t an easy sell.
Not while her world is crumbling around her.
I have to go back to the one place I’m no longer welcome. Let’s just hope The Hellhound is in a forgiving mood.
