Eat Me
First published in 1995, Eat Me became an instant international bestseller—and caused a scandal in the US.
Julia is a photographer, Chantal edits a fashion magazine, Helen is a feminist academic and Philippa is a writer. These four friends haunt the caf?s of inner-city Sydney, eyeing the passing talent and swapping outlandish tales. Sexy, intelligent, predatory, they are women of their time—but can we believe their wild and wicked descriptions of their erotic exploits?
Linda Jaivin's sizzling debut plays havoc with our ideas of truth, sex and power. With a new introduction by Krissy Kneen, author of Affection and Triptych.
The Empress Lover
Peking, 1944: Sir Edmund Backhouse is a man of many parts. A polyglot scholar. An effete homosexual. A genius of perversity, a forger, arms salesman, occasional spy and fantasist. Also, if he is to be believed, the onetime lover of the redoubtable Empress Dowager of China, a woman many decades his senior. In his declining years, tended by his friend, Dr Hoeppli, he writes his memoir - 'a wild tale', as he calls it, 'far-fetched and fantastical'- of his affair with the Dowager Empress. Beijing, 2014: Linnie is an Australian woman of uncertain provenance struggling to make a living in Beijing. A Sinophile, a translator of film subtitles, the author of an unpublished novel about Backhouse called The Empress Lover. One day, she receives an intriguingly old-fashioned and formal invitation from a Professor H, an invitation that promises to reveal long hidden secrets of her family... And so two worlds collide. An enchantingly slippery, sinuous, playful - and ultimately very moving - novel of love, loss, identity and history from one of Australia's finest novelists.
The Infernal Optimist

So Zeke finds himself locked up with the other crims, asylum seekers, sex slaves, illegal workers and visa overstayers. He loves Marlena, She Who Loves, Honours and Obeys Most a the Time Anyway, but he's having a hell of a time proving it from the wrong side of a double fence.
His new friends the 'asylums' aren't doing so well either. Hamid loves Angel but she needs more than love. April thinks she loves Azad, but Azad thinks he loves April's daughter Marley. A Most Immoral Woman
1904. Forty-two-year-old, handsome and influential Australian G.E. Morrison, Peking correspondent for THE TIMES of London, considered the most eligible Western bachelor in China has yet to meet his match. But one night he encounters Mae Perkins, the ravishing daughter of a California millionaire and a turbulent affair begins.
War, meanwhile, has broken out between Russia and Japan for domination over northeast China. Morrison's colleague Lionel James has an idea that will revolutionise war correspondence, but only Morrison can help him. Just as Mae seems to be slipping away from Morrison, James's quest propels him into her orbit once more.
Rock n Roll Babes from Outer Space
Baby, Doll and Lati, three spunky alien babes, are trapped on Nufon, the most boring planet in the entire yoon. They steal a spaceship and arrive in Sydney, Planet Earth, in search of sex, drugs and rock n roll. When the babes abduct Jake, a minor rock star and dread-headed charmer, and toss him in their saucer's sexual experimentation chamber, the global warming begins.
The babes form a band, and rocket to rock n roll stardom. Trouble is, Jake and Baby are falling in love, a posse of Nufonians is headed for Earth, the US military is on the case and Eros the talking asteroid wants to dive into the mosh as well. The babes are planning their biggest gig, but can they save the world too?
Dead Sexy
Nicola, writer of the 'Anabelle Says' column for a women's magazine, is cheating on her boyfriend Fox with Johnny B. Wright, a kinky-sex-loving architect who likes to 'christen' his newly constructed buildings. Things become complicated. Johnny is found dead, stark naked and handcuffed, with one of Nicola's favourite scarves tied around his neck. Investigating Detective Sergeant Damien Mann has a fetish for 'watching' and just happens to know the deceased.
Miles Walker, You’re Dead
On the eve of the millennium, Miles Walker has problems. His flatmate Thurston, a moody medievalist, thinks it would be a good career move for Miles to die young. Miles' best friend, the pre-conceptual artist ZakDot, agrees-and the chainsaw-wielding Maddie seems only too happy to help.
Then along comes Destiny, the enigmatically beautiful politician who hates art but likes Miles. Now the others really want to kill him.
By the time bare buttocks are squeaking over the blackheart sassafras of the prime ministerial dining table, it looks like Miles' fate is sealed.
