Overview: Ian Gladstone, a political activist, is hired by a mysterious figure named Zilla to plant surveillance devices in police departments and National Guard offices, hoping to root out corruption. Officers and soldiers, from the very offices Ian bugged, die from a highly contagious virus. It is too coincidental for Ian to believe. Guilt tears him apart. Who is this Zilla, and what has he done?
Zilla killed the world. In his hubris he became a murder. Believing that God gave him a divine right and duty to bring about the apocalypse, Zilla organized a team of extremists and used an alien spore found on an ancient artifact to infect those that were not righteous.
Ian realizes his role in the massacre when he's given a vaccine. He plunges the needle in his arm, packs a bag and flees. Killing Zilla is his top priority, and it will be the most difficult thing he's ever done.
He doesn’t get far when he’s attacked by zombies. Theses monsters are far from meandering half-wits. They can't be killed. Tentacles fill their eye sockets and bodies, and they will not stop until Ian and the other survivors are ripped apart.
Even Zilla could not predict what was about to happen to Earth.
