Overview: Hello! I'm Barry J. Hutchison, author of sci-fi and horror fiction. Without the "J." I'm an award-winning author of fiction for children and teenagers. I've forcibly inserted my middle initial to make the distinction between those and my books for adults, which aren't suitable for children. Like, at all. Ever.
I live halfway up a mountain in the Highlands of Scotland, where I spend my days making stuff up and writing it down. I'm currently putting together an apocalyptic sci-fi horror serial called "The Bug" and will be quickly following it up with a foul-mouthed space opera comedy series.

The Bug - Episode 3: The Bug Episode 3 continues the six-part serialized story about ordinary people trying to survive in a terrifying post-apocalyptic world.
In the aftermath of Episode 2, grocery-store clerks, Jaden and Col, must make their way across what's left of the city to get to Jaden's mom. With much of Boston now infected, though, it isn't going to be easy. Even if they do reach her, they may already be too late.
Meanwhile, in Scotland... Having narrowly surviving an encounter with an infected gang, DCI Hoon and his group head north in the hope of finding safety in the Highlands. However, even Hoon's best-laid plans don't always work out, and they're barely beyond the Glasgow city limits when everything starts to fall apart...
