Overview: Conor leaves the office of Irena Mekova and finds her sprawled on the floor nearby. He resuscitates Irena and hands her over to the paramedics. Surprisingly he gets arrested for her murder, shortly thereafter. A lengthy court trial ensues on the subject of his guilt.
The next thing he remembers is waking up in a sealed room all white, even the clothes and furniture. This is a Memory Recovery Center filled with a surprising number of retrograde amnesiacs. Conor retrieves his first memory through mundane hypnosis of a three day hospital stay after which he can't balance or do much of anything. A dream suggests you are trapped. His first day at the Center ends with meeting someone he doesn't recognize — Karina and possibly his parents.
