Overview: I was at Burges Academy, dressed in their clothes, as confused as most and yet I didn’t question it, following the march of students, book in hand, all of us driven to a singular destination, taking in the majesty of the mountains all around us, the two suns that would cross over and become one in the middle of the day, and the creatures that we had never seen. For most of us, this was a new experience – but not all of us would stay. Not all of us could stay, and for some, this hard truth would be the undoing of their lives.
